Daytime only tickets for the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show go on sale today. They can only be purchased through the Westminster website. The the 146th edition of the show will be held in June at Lyndhurst Mansion for the second year in a row. Tickets are $25 for adults and $12.50 for kids (children under five get in free.)
The Omicron Covid surge in New York City this past winter forced the events organizers to postpone the show and move it to Tarrytown. It is usually held in January or February in Manhattan on the piers on the West Side and at Madison Square Garden.
Westminster starts on Saturday, June 18. Thats when the Masters Agility Championship will be held. The obedience trials, the breed conformation trials, the Juniors events, and Best in Show take place Monday, June 20 through Wednesday, June 22.
The big difference this year and last is that a limited number of spectators will be able to watch the show in person. Last year no spectators were allowed.
There is no spectator parking at Lyndhurst, visitors can park in Tarrytown and take special buses to the event. You can find out ore about parking on the Westminster site.
